Dear readers, subscribers, and followers of the Grammaticus blog,
I have the pleasure of sharing with you a small gift for the upcoming holidays: an ebook containing the unabridged version of the short story The Snow written by one of my favourite authors, Hugh Walpole.

Set in the fictional town of Polchester on a cold and snowy Christmas Eve, The Snow is a gripping tale of jealousy and revenge, and a fine example of the popular ‘Christmas ghost story’ subgenre‒just perfect for this time of year! (If you are into ghost stories, that is.)
The ebook is a first in what will become a series of titles intended primarily for English language learners. As is the case with The Snow, each title will contain vocabulary notes explaining some of the more difficult words and phrases.
I hope you will find this and future ebooks both useful and enjoyable. Once you have read it, please share your thoughts on it in the comments section below!
