โ€œWinter Treesโ€ by William Carlos Williams

The poem presented in this post first appeared in Williamsโ€™ book titled โ€œSour Grapes: A Book of Poemsโ€, published in 1921. Like many other of his works, itโ€™s wonderfully simple and minimalist: the poet uses an extremely common image only to transform it into something delightfully rich and filled with meaning.

‘To an Old Tree’ by Annette Wynne

Annette Wynne was an early 20th century American writer of childrenโ€™s poems.
