In this post weโre going to read a gorgeous poem by Madison Julius Cawein (1865โ1914). Entitled โA Night in Juneโ, itโs found in Kentucky Poems, an anthology of his works published in New York in 1903.
This book is a very nicely written novel, with gorgeous descriptions of a quiet, provincial life, offering glimpses into the lives of northern German landed gentry of the late 1800s.
