One of my biggest challenges over the years has been how to organise the things I own. Keeping everything tidy has never been easy for me. Ever since I can remember, Iโve always been surrounded by a lot of clutter – I would throw nothing away, thinking I might need it at some future point. And so stuff just kept piling upโฆ
Until I had enough of it all! Suddenly, some time in the year 2020, I felt the urge to free up my living space and get rid of any excess items – from clothes and books to furniture. Itโs still a work in progress, but the change is noticeable. And itโs definitely a change for the better.
In this blog post, Iโd like to share a couple of current podcast series on the subject of minimalist lifestyle that have been an inspiration to me. If you’re struggling with clutter, hopefully they will inspire you too!

If you have any interest in minimalism, you mustโve heard of Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus by now – the hosts of this podcast are successful authors and creators of the 2021 Netflix documentary โThe Minimalists: Less is Nowโ. (Click here for the official trailer.) At the moment of writing, their podcast contains over 400 episodes, examining all aspects of minimalist living imaginable.

Similar to the previous podcast series, How to be a Minimalist deals with a wide range of topics, from frugal living to social media and providing organisational tips. Over a hundred episodes are available, most of them about 30 minutes long.

You donโt have to live in a tiny house to appreciate this podcast. However, it might give you some ideas on how to scale down and live within your means. And if youโre thinking about moving into a much smaller place, there are close to three hundred episodes within this series, with lots of useful insights.

It seems this series is currently on hiatus, but there are four seasons worth of episodes to goย through. The focus of The Cozy Minimalism tends to be on decluttering and home management, so itโs a bit more on the practical side. Many episodes are only a few minutes long, so listening to this one wonโt take too much of your time.
